Blue skies and clear waters are calling. Summer temps have hit and while boaters hit their favorite launches, we see anglers heading towards higher elevations. Trying to beat out the warmer waters with sluggish fish, late spring and early summer devotees know they have to adapt if they want to reel in the big one.

We have been getting some really great reviews on our best selling Colorado Pontoon Boats from this year’s seasons so far. Colorado, Colorado XT and Colorado XTS to be exact.

‘drlrhodes’ from Chuckey, TN gives a 5-star review:   “Received my Pontoon boat 3 months ago absolutely love it. Great company to deal with, Back their products very well. Free shipping a plus and 15% off original price being a loyalty member is just another perk. I am asked every time I take it out where I got it. Excellent product!

We love to hear from anglers and we love to see how the boats perform as well.

It never gets old when you see your products out in the “real world” and National Geographic aired one project we are very proud to be apart of last week. While watching National Geographic’s ‘Earth Live’ the other day, they had a live camera mounted on “snot-bots” while researchers where collecting data from whales. Talk about a go-anywhere-pro right?

We were able to partner up with Iain Kerr not so long ago when his project took off. (no pun intended) The CEO of Ocean Alliance has been proving since 1971 that you don’t have to harm whales to learn about whales. So what you may ask does Classic Accessories Pontoon Boats have to do with whale research? Iain and his crew used our Colorado XT to act as “whales” as they tested their snot-bots out. In essence, the snot-bots would hover over the whales and collect the “blow” from the blowholes as they surfaced.

Check out the video below:

They were able to collect stress hormones, toxins and DNA of the whales in a non-intrusive manner. Iain explains, “Most of the ways these hormones are collected actually stresses the animals, the snot bots are a way to collect the data from the whales without them even knowing.

After many successful launches and collections, our Colorado XT Pontoon Boat also acted as a launch pad for the drones so that they didn’t need to fly so far from the research ship to the whale pod. It’s great to know the program is off and running and collecting data on the health of whales.

We would love to see where your Classic Accessories Pontoon Boat takes you this season! Send us photos, tag us online, show us your best catch or share your biggest fishing story.

We hope one of our inflatable pontoon boats or float tubes makes it way into your fishing season this year – from walleyes to whales!
